The Challenge
The US operation of a global insurance company needed help in turning around its reputation for late delivery and poor quality of service in an increasingly competitive market place.

UEP was asked to help the client achieve a step change in operational effectiveness and quality, whilst simultaneously reducing costs and building a sustained culture of Continuous Improvement in 25 cities across the US.

Results achieved
Results to date have been exceptional. On-time delivery across all locations has seen a significant uplift in performance. Prior to implementation of the new system, 40-50% of policies were issued on time; since roll-out, this has increased to 90%+.

Very significant improvements in quality (right first time) results have also been identified across the organisation, increasing from a pre-implementation baseline of 42% to a post implementation level in excess of 90%.
